HOSPITALITY/USHERS
The ushers programme was started to help to communicate with visitors and welcome them to St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Very often visitors are curious about the history of the church and any possible connection with their homelands. As such, the Parish Council has developed brochures to distribute to visitors which provide information on the history, architecture and other interesting and relevant details of the cathedral.
It was also seen as an important aspect of St Patrick’s mission to welcome local parishioners and others when they come to Mass and to provide any assistance and information they may need. The ushers programme has been going well for many years or so and we look forward to continuing to “make everyone feel welcome and at home in our beautiful Cathedral”.
